Gordon & Priscilla Greenwood's Family Album

Gordon and I met in January, 1979

Gordon and Patti Greenwood, 1985

Gainesville, Florida, USA - 1985

Our good friend, Walter Busby, played matchmaker and got us together. Our first date was on January 21, 1979. Gordon visited me at my not-quite-finished new house. It was in the little town of Hague, Florida, outside of Gainesville, near the Temple of the Universe that I attended at that time. I was into yoga and chanting and meditation and not really looking for a partner at the time. I finally felt whole and complete and at peace with myself and God. I was not expecting my soulmate to walk through the door.

That first night I noticed that my normally aloof cat, Krishna, sat on Gordon's lap and purred the whole time Gordon was there. When I walked Gordon to the door a few hours later, I heard a loud male voice in my head say, "Some day you're going to marry this man."  I thought that was strange, but filed it away in the corner of my mind.

We were married on May 1, 1982.

Now Playing: "Our Love Is Here To Stay"

OUR LOVE IS HERE TO STAY
It's very clear, our love is here to stay
Not for a year but ever and a day
The radio and the telephone and the movies that we know
May just be passing fancies and in time may go

But oh, my dear, our love is here to stay
Together we're going a long, long way
In time the Rockies may crumble, Gibraltar may tumble
They're only made of clay
But our love is here to stay

             Words by Ira Gershwin
