There were 192 nations in the world the last time I checked the CIA World Factbook. Here is a list of 128 countries and/or territories that are represented in the New Age Directory of Planet Earth. Some are not actually separate nations in the strictest sense of the word. They merit a separate listing here in order to find them more easily either because they are geographically distant from their mother country or because they are more commonly referred to by their own names. For example, I would never think of looking under the USA if I wanted to know what was happening in the Virgin Islands!

This book is just the tip of the iceberg, a mere hint at the move toward holism that is escalating in our changing world of the 90s. Many other nations have listings that would be suitable but either we had no contact with them as we went to press or the information came in a little too late to be included. We apologize for their omission.
